Quilt for my husbands-cousins-new daughter (Nevaeh)
A Little baby girl quilt I made for a special newbie to the family - I hope she likes it forever. Isn't that the wish for all the things we make for our friends and family? This is one of my first quilts I've made - its 12 - 9" squares of vintage, scrap and new fabric sewn together. It was very easy and lots of fun to make.

I am really excited about writing a crochet book
.....that is, if I can get a proposal accepted by a publisher.....then I will be really excited about writing a crochet book. I looked around for awhile and decided to try and submit a proposal to Martingale and Comapny first. I have so many pattern and book ideas in my head and I do love to crochet...you all know that! It is time, time to work toward this dream.
I was a struggling crocheter for a couple years so I would like to write and design patterns for a crochet book that I could have used and would have loved to find back then. I have high hopes and look forward to seeing what happens. I can do it....yep, I can do it.
As always, I look forward to the new and exciting things my future holds.

So I've already written about how I got the name Mamachee. So I thought it would be fun and fitting to write about how I came to start my own little etsy shop.
I wouldn't have even dreamed of having my own mini business, if it wasn't for Jenny and her polite nudgings......So here is the story
I loved to crochet and was doing it all the time and would meet my friend, Jenny every now and again for craft day (great fun!) Jenny is probably the sweetest, friendliest person I know and makes amazingly yummy baked goods for me most every time we meet. Jenny is the one that introduced me to the wonderful world of etsy and kept telling me that I should get me my own shop. At first, I laughed it off and took it as a nice complement...but next craft day would come around and Jenny would encourage and tell me again, that I should get myself an etsy shop. A dream slowly started forming into a reality with every encouraging nudge I heard from Jenny and others. So one day, I just did it......I sat down, wrote up a pattern and stuck it on etsy. I have had an etsy shop for about 4 mo. now and LOVE IT. I recently decided to expand my business into a yarn supply as well. I am very excited about what the future has and owe it all to God first and then to Jenny.
I really haven't known Jenny for that long but I do know that I am a bit shy and easy to intimidate but from day one Jenny has always been SO friendly, has always made me feel at ease, excepted, and comfortable in my skin. I hope that everyone is blessed to have someone like Jenny in their lives...Just look at that smile of hers - could it be any brighter! No, that isn't a decietful smile...thats all real!
THANK YOU JENNY!

Bridal Birds
I recently received a custom order from a very neat girl named Katie. Katie is getting married in June (CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!) and is having a bit of an nontraditional wedding….she sounds like she is having a lot of fun planning her special day. Makes me want to go back and plan my own wedding all over again!
Anyway, bride-to-be-Katie must have seen the birdy rattles that I have available in my etsy shop and asked if I could make bride and groom birds for her. (her wedding theme is birds)
Not only was this a very fun custom order to do but Katie was very easy and friendly to work with.
THANK YOU KATIE and I wish you all the best!
Here they are.......
