Materials:
Worsted Weight Yarn in two
or thee colors (A, B, and C)
F hook
Yarn needle
Colors
A: Center of three face petals
B: Outer of three face petals and top two petals
C: Top two petals
Shall we begin….
Starting with color A
Ch 3. sl st to first ch to form a loop (center loop formed).
Rnd 1 - Ch 2, work 3dc into center loop, ch 2, sl st into center loop. (bottom petal formed) Ch 7, sl st into center loop, ch 7, sl st into center loop. (left and right petals formed)
Change to color B
Rnd 2 - Sc into next st, (hdc, dc) into next st, 2dc into next, sl st into next st, 2dc into next, (dc, hdc) into next st, sc into last stitch of your bottom petal.
Work a sl st into center loop. Now we will work around our right and left petals. Work in blo (back loops only) for the rest of this round. Sc in next 3 st’s, 3sc in next, sc in next 3 st’s. Work a sl st into center loop. Now we will work around our left petal. Sc in next 3 st’s, 3sc in next, sc in next 3 st’s.
Work one sl st into center loop.
Rnd 3 - Form top petals ch base…Ch 2. Turn (you should now be looking at back-side of flower) sl st into the back of your sl st you made between the right and left petals. (See picture A.) Top left petal ch base formed. Ch 2, sl st into the back of your sl st you made between the bottom and right petals (See picture B.). Top right petal ch base formed.
If you are not using color B for your top two petals change to color C now.
Rnd 4 – Form top two petals…Ch 2. Work (dc, 5tc, dc, hdc) in your top right petal ch base. Sl st into top left petal ch base. Ch 2. Work (dc, 5tc, dc, hdc, sl st) into your top left petal base.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
